On Thanksgiving Day, November 25th, St. John's will be hosting the Community Thanksgiving Meal through delivery and take-out orders. Our goal is to provide 400 meals for the community, but our ability to do that depends on being able to gather enough turkeys. We have chosen to go with turkey breasts this year to help reduce waste and assist with preparation of the turkeys. All food this year will be prepared at the church or be store bought purchases to help reduce the possibility of food borne illness as much as possible.  Monetary donations to go towards the cost of purchasing food are also always appreciated and can be dropped off at the church office designated to go towards the Thanksgiving meal.

The following items are those we are in need of at this time:

50 Turkey breasts 8-10lbs

36- 12 oz bags of Brownberry / Pepperidge Farms Sage & Onion stuffing mix

40- 40oz cans of Sweet Potatoes

20- Economy sized (6lb 10oz) Canned Corn

24- 14 oz canned Jellied Cranberry Sauce

24- 48oz Chicken Broth

50 store bought Pumpkin Pies

All donations need to be dropped off at the church no later than Sunday, November 14th. An updated list will be sent out weekly as donations arrive.

We will be sending out future communications concerning any needs for volunteers to help prepare, package, and deliver meals in future e-bulletins.

We appreciate your help in providing the Thanksgiving meal for those in need in our community!
